SNHU Men's Cross Country ran to a sixth-place finish on Friday at the Hopkinton Fair Grounds. The 8k race was the final prep before the Northeast-10 Championships. Junior
Dillon Labonte (Lee, N.H.) was the top runner for the Penmen, finishing 20
th.
SNHU RUNNERS
- Labonte ran the 8k in 26:09.92, almost exactly what he ran last week to win the Paul Short Race at Lehigh.
- Sophomore Eric Sekyaya (Burlington, Mass.) was second among SNHU runners at 27:10.07, finishing 40th.
- Junior Collins Kibet (Iten, Kenya) – 27:20.22
- Senior Carter Sylvester (Northwood, N.H.) – 27:23.56, a season-best
- Sophomore Austin Thorp (Richmond, R.I.) – 28:21.72 (new personal best)
NOTES
- Runners from 20 schools competed in the men's race with the University of Maine, a Division I program, winning the race. UMass Lowell finished in second place.
- Among Division II programs, host Franklin Pierce came in fourth overall (121 points), with Saint Michael's College in seventh place (178 points).

- The Northeast-10 Championships will be conducted in 2024 at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds on Sunday, October 27. The men's race is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
