- The Penmen scored the only goal in the first half when Lovejoy redirected a reverse chip by Bates into the goal with 5:33 to play in the second period.
- Bentley had appeared to score the tying goal off a corner early in the third quarter, but it was disallowed after hitting a Falcon player on the way in.
