Senior Carley Lovejoy (Kennebunk, Maine) redirected a shot by senior Eliza Bates (Newport, N.H.) for the only goal of the game as #5 SNHU Field Hockey defeated Bentley 1-0 Tuesday night.

KEY MOMENTS
 
  • The Penmen scored the only goal in the first half when Lovejoy redirected a reverse chip by Bates into the goal with 5:33 to play in the second period.
  • Bentley had appeared to score the tying goal off a corner early in the third quarter, but it was disallowed after hitting a Falcon player on the way in.

  • The Penmen had a 12-7 shot advantage for the contest including 6-3 on goal.
  • The Falcons took seven corners to four for the Penmen.
