#5 Field Hockey Notches 2-0 Road Win at Molloy

Senior Annemartine Christis ('s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands) and junior Anne Wiersma (Veldhoven, Netherlands) scored goals as #5 Southern New Hampshire Field Hockey won 2-0 at Molloy University on Saturday.  The Penmen improve to 9-0 in the NE10.

KEY MOMENTS
  • Christis scored late in the first quarter, scoring off her own rebound to make it 1-0.
  • In the 41st minute, Wiersma extended the Penmen's lead to 2-0 with a goal following a corner, assisted by Jade Hendriks.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • The Penmen took 30 shots in the game including 18 on goal.  16 shots were saved by Molloy's Kayla Lipscomb.
  • The Penmen had a 10-1 advantage on penalty corners.
NOTES
  • The Penmen have won ten in a row, the longest win streak since 2019, when they won 11 straight.
  • During this win streak, the Penmen have outscored their opponents 39-4.
  • SNHU advanced a spot to #5 in Tuesday's NFHCA (Field Hockey Coaches) poll, matching the highest ranking in program history.
  • The Penmen lead the all-time series with the Lions 7-0.
  • Christis has now scored 21 of SNHU's 46 goals this season.  Her 50 points this season are the most ever by an athlete in a single season. 
  • Wiersma scored a goal for the first time since September 11 vs. Bentley.  Her 14 points are second on the team.
  • Junior Emma Peeters (Wageningen, Netherlands) earned her seventh shutout of the season and fifth in the last six games.
