Dillon Labonte (Lee, N.H.) won his race and SNHU Men's Cross Country earned a team second place finish at the 50
th Paul Short Run on Saturday in Bethlehem, Pa.
SNHU RUNNERS
- Labonte, who was coming off a career-best run at UMass Dartmouth, won the 8k Green Race in 26:09.7.
- Sophomore Eric Sekyaya (Burlington, Mass.) was second among SNHU runners at 27:14.8. That was good for 13th place, and just ahead of two teammates.
- Junior Collins Kibet (Iten, Kenya) – 27:18.1 (new personal best)
- Sophomore Brett Trainor (North Chelmsford, Mass.) - 27:18.6 (new personal best)
- Senior Carter Sylvester (Northwood, N.H.) – 27:47.1
- Sophomore Austin Thorp (Richmond, R.I.) - 28:50.06
NOTES
- The 50th Paul Short Run was split into four divisions. SNHU competed in the "Green Race." 22 teams took part in the race with 203 runners.
- The Penmen finished a close second to Grove City College of Pennsylvania.
- SNHU competed at the Paul Short for the first time since the 2021 season.
