Ryan Pomposelli (Needham, Mass.) gave SNHU an early 1-0 lead, but the Penmen dropped its first game in the Bowdoin/Colby Challenge 4-1 to Bowdoin on Saturday afternoon in Maine.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Penmen scored the game's first goal just 1:19 into the contest.
- Pomposelli scored the power-play goal, assisted by Flynn and Lynch. Lynch had battled for a rebound in the Bowdoin zone, and sent the puck to Flynn who found Pomposelli on the right wing for a one-timer.
- Bowdoin tied the game with just one second remaining in the first period off a face-off to the left of Berke. The Polar Bears were able to pull the puck off the boards behind Berke and it landed in front for the goal by Jack Hepp.
- Bowdoin scored twice in the second period to take a 3-1 lead on goals by Mattie Wierl and James Cerepak.
- The Polar Bears made it 4-1 in the opening minutes of the third period when they were again able to score off a pass from behind the net. Jackson Holl scored the Bowdoin goal.

- Bowdoin had a 37-23 shot advantage for the contest.
- The Penmen went 1-for-3 on the power-play and the Polar Bears connected on its only chance.
- George McMichael made 22 saves for Bowdoin.
NOTES
- Pomposelli's goal was his third of the season.
- Berke, after consecutive shutouts last weekend, saw his scoreless streak snapped at 157 minutes and 6 seconds. Tim Fewster, the only other goalie in program history to record back-to-back shutouts had a streak of 159 minutes, 17 seconds in February of 2004.
- The Penmen have scored a power-play goal in eight of the nine games this season and have nine power-play goals to just three allowed.
- This was the first-ever meeting between SNHU and Bowdoin College.
