- The Greyhounds took a 1-0 lead at 10:18 of the first on a goal by Dean Simeone.
- Watson tallied near the Assumption net after a deep slap shot by graduate student Derek Flynn (Dracut, Mass.) caromed off the back wall.
- Assumption scored twice in the second period with a power-play goal by Ryan Decker extending the lead to 3-1.
- The Greyhounds also scored on an empty net in the final two minutes.

- Assumption had a 37-17 shot advantage for the contest.
- Each team was penalized four times for eight minutes with the Greyhounds recording the game's only extra-man opportunity.
