Ray Daniels (Las Vegas, Nev.) notched a game-high 23 points to lead the Southern New Hampshire University men's basketball team past Post University, 72-61, Saturday at the Stan Spirou Field House.

KEY MOMENTS
- Post jumped out to a 7-2 lead over the opening three-plus minutes, but Southern New Hampshire eventually responded with a 9-2 run – with four from Daniels – to go in front, 14-11, with 11:56 remaining in the opening half. Six straight later on gave SNHU its largest lead of the half at 24-16 wth 6:25 left. The Penmen would bring a 31-24 advantage to the locker room.
- SNHU began the second stanza on a 9-2 run – with four points from Daniels – to open up a 40-26 lead less than three minutes in. A Williams floater passed the midway point of the half gave the Penmen their largest lead of the contest at 53-37 with 9:38 to go. An 18-4 rush down the stretch trimmed the Post deficit to 60-53 with 3:02 remaining, but a 7-2 counter-run from the Penmen – with five from Daniels – put them comfortably ahead, 67-55, with 1:34 to play.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Senior Brenden Choate (Nashua, N.H.) posted four points (2-2 FG), four rebounds and a pair of blocks.
- Senior Noah Harris (Manalapan, N.J.) chipped in three points (3-4-FT), two rebounds and three assists.
- Southern New Hampshire outshot Post, 48.1 percent (25-52) to 33.8 percent (22-65), including 41.2 percent (7-17) to 15.4 percent (4-26) from long range. SNHU also shot it better from the line, 78.9 percent (15-19) to 72.2 percent (13-18).
- The Penmen captured the glass (39-35) and the paint (34-28), scored more points on the fast break (16-11), received more scoring from their bench (16-7) and turned in a better assist-to-turnover ratio (12/15-4/9), while the Eagles scored more points off turnovers (16-14) and second chance points (12-5).

- Southern New Hampshire has captured seven of its last eight, including six straight.
- SNHU leads the all-time series with Post 14-2. The Penmen have won 13 of the last 14 meetings, including three straight. SNHU is now 7-1 at home against the Eagles, who won the previous meeting at the Field House (71-61), making this the first Penmen home win over Post since Nov. 20, 2021 (85-62).
