- Murray's goal at 10:37 of the second period was the game's first goal.
- The play started with a long pass into the Raven zone by senior Connor Ball (Webster, N.Y.). Junior Brendan Lynch (Nepean, Ont.) sent a pass back to Murray for the slap shot that made it 1-0.
- The game's other goal came in a 5x3 man advantage for the Penmen with freshman Ryan Kayser (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) and junior Kurt Watson (London, Ont.) exchanging passes before a one-timer by Pomposelli found the net at 13:15 of the final period.
