Kurt Watson (London, Ont.) scored goals in the first period and SNHU held on for a 2-1 win over Assumption University on Friday night at The Ice Den Arena.

KEY MOMENTS
- SNHU took a 1-0 lead at 4:03 of the first period. Gray stole the puck in the Greyhound zone and sent a pass to Pomposelli for the shot that made it 1-0.
- At 7:55 of the first period, Watson finished off another takeaway in the Assumption end for his 10th goal of the season. Amante had the assist on the goal.
- Although the Penmen were kept off the board for the remainder of the game, Berke had another tremendous contest in goal, stopping 18 shots in each of the second and third periods.
- The Greyhound goal was scored by Jonathan Surrette at 15:51 of the second period.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Assumption had a 33-26 shot advantage.
- Each team went 0-for-3 on power play opportunities.
- Freshman Clement Labillois made his sixth start for Assumption, making 24 saves.
NOTES
- Berke has won his last five starts in net for the Penmen, allowing just five goals in those games.
- Watson's 10 goals and 11 assists give him a team-high 21 points. Amante is right behind with nine goals and 11 assists.
- Pomposelli's marker gave him seven goals this season.
- The Penmen lead the all-time series with the Greyhounds 42-40-5, but Assumption has a 2-1 edge in games in 2023-24 after a sweep of the set in Worcester.
- The Penmen hold second place in the Northeast-10 with one game remaining in the regular season. Assumption is the regular season champion.
