Matt Amante (West Hempstead, N.Y.) scored in overtime to lift SNHU Ice Hockey to a 3-2 win over Franklin Pierce University Saturday afternoon in Hooksett, N.H.

KEY MOMENTS
- Franklin Pierce took a 1-0 lead at 12:16 of the first period on a goal by Payton Jones.
- The Penmen scored a pair of power-play goals late in the second period to rally into the lead.
- Minnig tied the game at 1-1 at 14:58.  He knocked home a rebound of a shot by Twardosky. Junior Connor Ball (Webster,  N.Y.) earned an assist on the play.
- Deep into another power play less than four minutes later, Flynn picked up the rebound of his own miss and buried a slap-shot from just inside the blue line. Assists on the play went to Twardosky and freshman Coleman Nee (Arlington, Mass.).
- It took the Ravens just 20 seconds of the third period to draw even when Nick Fish finished off a perfect feed in front from Wyatt De Lise.
- SNHU picked up a break when Franklin Pierce was assessed a major penalty for a hit-from-behind with 3:24 to play.
- With the penalty carrying to overtime, Amante converted in the 4-on-3 situation with a slap shot to win the game. Sophomore Kurt Watson (London, Ont.) took one shot, and sophomore Brendan Lynch (Nepean, Ont.) sent the puck to Amante.

- Flynn entered the series with one career goal and scored in both games for the Penmen.

- SNHU leads the all-time series with Franklin Pierce 39-19-9.
- The Penmen earned five points (win and an overtime win) for the weekend and won the season series from Franklin Pierce.
- SNHU is currently in second place in the NE10 standings with 26 points, one point ahead of Saint Michael's College.
