Jorge Burgos (Santo Domingo, D.R.) homered for the second straight day, but the ninth-ranked Southern New Hampshire University baseball team closed out the Houston Winter Invitational with a 7-4 defeat against Arkansas Tech University on Sunday evening at Minute Maid Park.

KEY MOMENTS
- Arkansas Tech went deep in the second against sophomore starter Jake Risedorf (Barkhamsted, Conn.) and then homered twice in the fourth to build a 4-0 lead.
- Southern New Hampshire sliced its deficit in half in the fifth on Wachter's RBI single to center and O'Sullivan's run-scoring double to right-center.
- The Wonder Boys grabbed both of those runs back in the sixth and extended their lead to 7-2 in the eighth.
- The Penmen attempted to mount a comeback in the ninth, but Burgos' two-out, two-run shot to left wound up too little and too late.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Junior Harry Vargas Segura (Bronx, N.Y.) went 1-for-3 with a double, walk and a run scored.
- Sophomore Jake Pisano (Hamden, Conn.) finished 1-for-4 and scored a run.
- Risedorf allowed four runs – three earned – on six hits, while striking out three and walking three over four innings.
- Freshman Devin Divita (New Hartford, Conn.) gave up one run on a pair of walks in an inning of work.
- Senior Griffin Gilbert (Concord, N.H.) walked the only batter he faced and was charged with a run.
- Senior Parker Hansen (Granby, Conn.) relinquished one run on five hits and a pair of walks in three innings.

- Southern New Hampshire is ranked ninth in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II Top 25.
- This was the first meeting between the two programs.
