Harry Vargas Segura (Bronx, N.Y.) homered, drove in three runs and delivered a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth to lead the Southern New Hampshire University baseball team to a 4-3 win versus Assumption University on Monday afternoon at Penmen Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After being no-hit through the first three frames, Southern New Hampshire drew first blood when Vargas Segura led off the fourth with a single, stole second and scored on Wouters' RBI single through the right side.
- Assumption went ahead with two runs in the fifth, taking advantage of back-to-back errors to grab a 2-1 lead.
- SNHU responded in a big way in the home half when Vargas Segura hit a two-run home run to left-center that gave the Penmen a 3-2 edge.
- The Greyhounds pulled even in the eighth with two outs on a walk, stolen base and a single through the right side by Jack Barry.
- SNHU won it in the ninth when Moreno doubled to center, moved to third on a groundout and scored on Vargas Segura's RBI base hit through the left side.
INSIDE THE BOX
- Sophomore Dyrenson Wouters (Oranjestad, Aruba; RBI) and Jake Pisano (Hamden, Conn.) were both 1-for-4.
- Trumpour notched at least one strike out in every inning, including three frames with multiple punchouts.
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire, receiving votes in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II Poll, has won nine of its last 12.
- Vargas Segura, who is hitting .368, has reached safely in 24 straight games. He has 35 hits and 23 walks with a .496 OBP. Vargas Segura ranks second in the league in RBI (29) and stolen bases (18), and is tied for third in home runs (5).
- SNHU leads the all-time series with the Greyhounds, 52-25-2. The Penmen have won 13 of the last 15 and seven of eight. They have also captured 13 of the last 14 at Penmen Field.
