Nater Wachter (Concord, N.H.) drove in four runs, as the Southern New Hampshire University baseball team swept a doubleheader from Bentley University on Sunday at DeFelice Field. The Penmen edged the Falcons, 5-3, in the first game and then recorded a 4-1 victory in the night cap.

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME ONE
- Southern New Hampshire put up three runs in the top of the second inning on a trio of RBI singles by sophomores Frankie DeMaro (Newburgh, N.Y.), Dyrenson Wouters (Oranjestad, Aruba) and Risedorf.
- Bentley pulled within one with a pair of runs in the fifth, but RBI doubles from Wouters in the eighth and Wachter in the ninth extended the SNHU advantage to 5-2.
- The Falcons nudged one across in the ninth to knock Trumpour from the game, but Risedorf came on to record the final out and the save.
INSIDE THE BOX – GAME ONE
- Wachter went 2-for-3 with an RBI, double and pair of walks.
- Wouters (two RBI, double, walk) and DeMaro (run, double, walk) were both 2-for-4.
- Risedorf was 1-for-3 at the plate with an RBI and a walk, while collecting his first save, as he walked one in a third of an inning.
- Junior Harry Vargas Segura (Bronx, N.Y.; run, walk, stolen base) and sophomore Kyle Lavigne (Bedford, N.H.; RBI, run) each finished 1-for-4.
- Pisano (double) and Burgos (run, stolen base) both went 1-for-5.
HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME TWO
- Southern New Hampshire again jumped out to an early lead with a pair of runs in the first. An RBI fielder's choice by Wachter and an error brought in the two runs.
- Wachter's sacrifice fly to right in the third made it a 3-0 game.
- Bentley grabbed one back in the sixth, but another Wachter sac fly to right in the eighth re-established the three-run lead for the Penmen.
INSIDE THE BOX – GAME TWO
- Pisano was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and scored three times.
- Burgos finished 2-for-3 with a double and a walk.
- Vargas Segura (run, walk) and senior Anderson Moreno (Bronx, N.Y.) were both 1-for-4.
- Wachter was 0-for-2, but knocked in three runs.
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire, receiving votes in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II Poll, has won 11 of its last 14, including four straight.
- Lendrum has allowed just six runs in 31-and-two-thirds innings over his last five appearances (3-0, 1 save, 1.71 ERA).
- Vargas Segura, who is hitting .359, has reached safely in 26 straight games. He has 37 hits and 25 walks with a .489 OBP. Vargas Segura ranks second in the league in RBI (29) and stolen bases (19), and is tied for third in home runs (5).
- Bentley leads the all-time series with SNHU, 42-41, but the Penmen have won 13 of 16, including 11 of 12. SNHU has also captured 12 of 13, including seven-in-a-row, at Bentley. The last time the Falcons defeated the Penmen at home ws March 31, 2018 (4-3).
