HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Renaud opened the scoring nearly six minutes into the contest and then set up Graziano just 12 seconds later to give Southern New Hampshire a 2-0 lead. After Franklin Pierce tied it, McLaughlin found the back of the net and then assisted on Renaud's second, which was the 200th points of her career, to give SNHU a 4-2 advantage with 6:30 to play. The Penmen would exit the first quarter with a 5-3 lead.
  • SNHU scored six of the first seven goals of the second quarter to take a commanding 11-4 lead with 4:26 to go in the first half. Hadden had two goals during the stretch, while McLaughlin added a goal and an assist, and Cole collected a pair of helpers. FPU would trim its halftime deficit to 11-5.
  • The Ravens would get to within 12-7 with 10:58 left in the third, but that would be the last time they would score, as SNHU scored the final five goals of the frame to go up, 17-7. Five different scorers tallied a score, while Anderson and Graziano registered a goal and an assist.
  • The Penmen scored all four goals in the final stanza to run away with it. Cole notched a pair of goals, with Hadden adding a goal and an assist.
