Mackenzie Bruggeman (Trumbull, Conn.) to give SNHU a 2-1 win over Adelphi University and a split of Friday's doubleheader.

GAME 1: ADELPHI 3-2
- The Penmen broke through against Adelphi ace Lindsey Hibbs in the bottom of the third inning.
- DiMauro doubled down the left-field line and advanced on a wild pitch.
- Ferrier then homered to left center to give SNHU a 2-0 lead.
- Adelphi scored its runs in the top of the fifth inning.
- A two-run triple by Courtney Wengryn tied the game, and she scored on a sacrifice fly.
- Bruggeman led off the bottom of the seventh inning with a single for the Penmen, but SNHU fell a run short.
GAME 2: SNHU 2-1
- Another terrific pitcher's dual developed between freshman Lily Kenney for the Panthers and Colbert for the Penmen.
- The contest was scoreless until the top of the fifth inning.
- A walk, bunt, and stolen base had Adelphi pinch-runner Angelina Kellogg at third.
- She scored when Zee Zee Shreter reached on an error.
- In the last of the sixth inning, freshman Mikaya Alto (Chelmsford, Mass) led off with a pinch-hit walk. Sophomore Peyton Feldman (Foxboro, Mass.) singled, and DiMauro walked.
- Linemen took a hit-by-pitch to score the first run.
- Bruggemen delivered a two-out single to center field to put SNHU in front.
- Colbert set down the Panthers in order in the top of the seventh inning to nail down the win.
NOTES:
- Adelphi's Lindsey Hibbs won her 70th career game. She held the Penmen to four hits, walking one and striking out 11.
- McKechnie went the distance for the fifth time this season but fell to 10-7. Her ERA is at a career-best 2.17.
- Colbert improves to 8-2 with a 1.61 ERA. It was her third complete game.
- Ferrier hit her fourth home run of the season giving her 20 RBI, both career-highs.
- Adelphi leads the all-time series 19-7. The Penmen snapped a six-game losing streak to the Panthers with the win in the nightcap.
- The Panthers look to secure a third-consecutive NE10 Regular-Season Championship when they play at Saint Anselm Saturday.
- The Penmen sit in fourth place in the NE10, trailing Pace by one game.

- The Penmen will conclude the regular season with a doubleheader against Pace University on Saturday (April 27) at Noon. Recognition of program seniors will take place before the game.
