HOW IT HAPPENED
- Southern New Hampshire took advantage of a pair of errors to hang five runs on the scoreboard in the first inning, including four unearned. RBI singles from Pisano and Wouters, as well as a run-scoring double down the left field line by Lavigne, did the bulk of the damage.
- SNHU added a pair in the second, with Risedorf smacking a solo shot to right, before Vargas Segura tripled to the gap in right-center and scored on Pisano's sacrifice fly to left.
- Saint Anselm made it on the board in the sixth when it capitalized on an error with a three-run homer to left-center off the bat of Ben Rose.
- The Penmen grabbed a couple of them back in the home half on a two-run single through the left side by Pisano.
- SNHU poured it on with four more in the ninth, as two came home on a single through the left side by senior Jorge Burgos (Santo Domingo, D.R.) and two more on an opposite-field homer to right-center off the bat of Wachter.
INSIDE THE BOX
- Senior Anderson Moreno (Bronx, N.Y.; two runs, double, walk) and freshman Joel Valera (Boston, Mass.) were both 1-for-4.
- Burgos finished 1-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored.
