Corrina Obernesser (Westminster, Colo.) won the 3000m steeplechase, as women's track & field finished second at the NE10 Championships on Friday and Saturday. Obernesser completed the run in 11:44.81, which is the second fastest time in the East Region this season.
Male Athlete of the Week: Austin Trumpour - Baseball - So., P
Austin Trumpour (Jensen Beach, Fla.) set the tone for SNHU in last weekend's three-game sweep of Franklin Pierce University that clinched it the Northeast Division title and the top seed. Trumpour allowed two runs – one earned – on five hits, while striking out nine and walking two, over seven innings of an 8-5 win in game one of Friday's doubleheader. He was chosen as the NE10 Pitcher of the Week earlier Monday.

Notes:
- Baseball went 3-1 last week, dropping a 7-2, non-conference decision to Post University, before sweeping in-state rival Franklin Pierce University in a three-game set to clinch both the NE10 Northeast Division title and the No. 1 seed for the NE10 Championship. The Penmen recorded 8-5 and 5-2 wins in Friday's doubleheader, and then rallied for a 6-5 triumph Saturday. SNHU, which won the division for a seventh straight season, will host Assumption University in an NE10 Championship first round matchup Tuesday (3:30 p.m.) and would host NE10 Championship Weekend on Thursday-Saturday with a victory.
- Senior Jorge Burgos (Santo Domingo, D.R.) hit .357 (5-14) with a home run, four RBI, three runs scored a pair of stolen bases, while slashing .375/.571/.946. In the three-game sweep of Franklin Pierce, Burgos was 5-for-10 (.500) with a home run, four RBI, three runs, two steals and a .500/.800/1.300 slash line. He was 4-for-7 and knocked in a run in each game of Friday's doubleheader split with the Ravens, before going 1-for-3 with his league-leading 16th long-ball of the season and a pair of RBI Saturday's come-from-behind win.
- Sophomore Dyrenson Wouters (Oranjestad, Aruba) was 6-for-16 (.375) with an RBI, five runs scored and three stolen bases.
- Sophomore Jake Risedorf (Barkhamsted, Conn.) went 4-for-12 (.333) at the dish with two RBI, two runs scored and four stolen bases, while also firing a pair of shutout innings to earn the save in game one Friday, as he relinquished just one hit, while punching out three.
- Sophomore Austin Trumpour (Jensen Beach, Fla.) set the tone for SNHU against Franklin Pierce, as he allowed two runs – one earned – on five hits, while striking out nine and walking two, over seven innings in game one of Friday's doubleheader. Trumpour was chosen as the NE10 Pitcher of the Week earlier Monday.
- Graduate student Zachary Gitschier (Lowell, Mass.) tossed five-and-two-thirds innings of one run baseball in a pair of appearances. He went 1-0 as he allowed just one unearned run on four hits, while striking out three and walking one. Gitschier earned the victory in Saturday's win with two innings, allowing one unearned run on two hits.
- Sophomore Parker Lendrum (Exeter, N.H.) picked up the win in game two Friday, turning in a complete game, as he gave up a pair of runs on seven hits, while fanning three and issuing one walk.

- Fourth-seeded softball suffered a 13-inning, 3-2 loss to eighth-seeded Southern Connecticut State University in the NE10 Championship quarterfinals Thursday.Â
- Freshman Charlotte Donovan (Biddeford, Maine) drove in both runs, as she went 1-for-4.
- Senior Alyssa DiMauro (Chester, N.H.) went 2-for-6 with a double.
- Junior Jordyn Resetar (Hanover, Pa.) was 1-for-2 with a double and a walk.
- Freshman Julianna Colbert (Burrillville, R.I.) was tagged with the loss, as she was charged with a run on six hits over six-and-a-third-innings in relief, striking out four and walking three.
- Senior Leine McKechnie (Passadumkeag, Maine ) started and allowed two runs on three hits in five - and a third innings.

- Women's lacrosse went 1-1 last week, closing the regular season with a 23-6 triumph over Saint Michael's College on Tuesday, before suffering a 21-10 loss at third-ranked and second-seeded Adelphi University on Saturday in an NE10 Championship quarterfinal.
- Graduate student Angelina Graziano (Riverhead, N.Y.) registered seven goals and two assists for nine points, including six goals and a helper against Saint Michael's.
- Graduate student Skylar Renaud (E. Waterboro, Maine) tallied eight goals, five draw controls, four ground balls and two caused turnovers. She found the back of the net four times against the Panthers.
- Freshman Eliana Anderson (Danvers, Mass.) notched a career-high five points againt the Purple Knights, as she matched career bests in goals (2) and assists (3). Anderson was selected as the NE10 Rookie of the Week earlier Monday.
- Senior Shelby Cole (Gilford, N.H.) scored four goals versus Saint Michael's.
- Freshman Nicole Mirra (Cicero, N.Y.) totaled 12 saves on 35 shots over 76:30 in the two starts. She turned away four of eight bids in the first half against the Purple Knights and then made eight saves on the first 27 shots of the game in the initial 46:30 versus the Panthers.
- Senior Megan Petko (Monroe, N.Y.) stopped three of seven shots in 43:30. he made one save on three shots in the second half against SMC and then made two saves on four shots in the final 13:30 versus Adelphi.

- Sophomore Corrina Obernesser (Westminster, Colo.) won the 3000m steeplechase in 11:44.81, which is the second fastest time in the East Region this season.
- Sophomore Maggie McInerney (Acton, Mass.) raced to victory in the 400 hurdles in a season-best time of 1:04.06. The mark was also the second best in the region this season.
- Senior Laila Bunnitt (Lewiston, Maine) won the shot put with a PR of 12.70m that was the third longest toss in the region.

- Second-seeded men's tennis went 1-1 last week, securing a 4-1 win against third-seeded Franklin Pierce University on Thursday in the semifinal round of the NE10 Championship, before suffering a 4-0 loss to top-seeded Adelphi University in the title match.
- Senior Jesse Den Hartog (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) and junior Cade Nadeau (Quispamsis, New Brunswick) were selected to the NE10 All-Championship Team. Den Hartog eased past FPU's Ralph Hiebel at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-2, while Nadeau outlasted Noe Martin, 6-1, 4-6, 6-4, at No. 3 singles.

Women's Soccer (10-5-5, 5-2-4Â NE10)
Notes:
- Women's soccer finished 10-5-5, including 5-2-4 in the NE10, as they earned the No. 3 seed for the NE10 Championship and advanced to the semifinal round, before suffering a 1-0 loss to second-seeded Adelphi University.
- SNHU earned its ninth NCAA Championship berth, including its sixth straight, collecting the No. 5 seed in the East Region. The Penmen were victorious in their first-round matchup with fourth-seeded Roberts Wesleyan University (2-0), eventually seeing their season draw to a close with a 2-0 second-round loss to the top-ranked College of Saint Rose.
- Sophomore Carly Schofield (Plymouth, Mass.) and senior Alyssa Anderson (Londonderry, N.H.) were selected to the NE10 All-Conference First Team. Senior Kassidy Michael (Manheim, Pa.) collected a Second Team honor, while graduate student Victoria Roulston (E. Falmouth, Mass.) was named to the Third Team. Freshman Liv Gantelius (Lidingoe, Sweden) claimed an All-Rookie Team.
Men's Soccer (10-6-4, 4-5-1Â NE10)
Notes:
- Men's soccer closed its season with a 10-6-4 mark, including 4-5-1 in the NE10. The team, which began the season with a six-match unbeaten streak (4-0-2), became just the second No. 7 seed in the history of the NE10 Championship to reach the title match, falling to top-ranked Franklin Pierce University on penalty kicks, 6-5, after battling to a 1-1 draw.
- SNHU secured its 23rd NCAA tournament berth and first since 2016, earning the No. 9 seed in Super Region 1, but fell to eighth-seeded Bloomsburg University, 2-1, in the opening round.
- Sophomore Iago Perez (Oleiros, Spain), senior Nicolas Gonzalez (Santander, Spain) and junior Preston Neal (Windham, N.H.) all earned NE10 All-Conference Second Team honors. Graduate student Rafa Escobedo (Santander, Spain) collected Third Team recognition, while sophomore Tyler Kraft (Londonderry, N.H.) received an All-Rookie Team nod.
Women's Volleyball (13-13, 6-5Â NE10)
Notes:
- Women's volleyball finished 13-13, including 6-5 in league play, as they claimed the No. 5 seed and upset fourth-seeded American International College in five sets in the quarterfinals of the NE10 Championship. After dropping another five-set decision in the semifinals at top-seeded Adelphi University, SNHU received its second straight NCAA Championship berth as the No. 6 seed in the East Region and suffered yet another five-set defeat to third-seeded Bentley University in the quarterfinals.
- Redshirt-senior Ana Pimenta (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) became the first student-athlete in program history to earn All-America, All-Region and All-Conference First Team. Pimenta was chosen as an AVCA All-America Honorable Mention, AVCA East All-Region First Team and NE10 All-Conference First Team.
Field Hockey (10-8, 9-4Â NE10)
Notes:
- Field hockey shook off a 1-3 start to win nine of its next 14 contests to end the regular season and earn the No. 5 seed for the NE10 Championship. The Penmen wound up suffering a 1-0 defeat at fourth-seeded Pace University in the quarterfinal round.
- The Penmen posted a signature win at home Oct. 4, defeating fifth-ranked Saint Anselm College, 4-1, for the first win over the Hawks in program history. SNHU had lost 16 straight to its cross-town rival.
- Freshman Minke van de Poll (Oosterbeek, Netherlands) was named the NE10 Rookie of the Year and landed a spot on the All-Conference First Team, setting a new program mark for goals by a first-year player with 14, which led the team.
- van de Poll was joined on the First Team by junior Annemartine Christis ('s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands). Sophomore Anne Wiersma (Velhoven, Netherlands) earned Second Team honors, junior Eliza Bates (Newport, N.H.) claimed a Third Team accolade and freshman Jade Hendriks (Huissen, The Netherlands) received an All-Rookie Team nod.
Cross Country
Notes:
- Women's cross country put together another stellar season, as it finished by qualifying for the NCAA National Championship for the third time in program history. The team placed fourth at the NE10 Championship, with seniorÂ
Kelsey Seamans (Methuen, Mass.) slotting in fourth to earn NE10 All-Conference First Team honors. SophomoreÂ

Kaitlyn O'Rourke (Braintree, Mass.) collected Second Team recognition. The team finished third at the NCAA East Regional Championship, punching its ticket to Nationals for the second consecutive season. Seamans was eighth, overall. The Penmen finished in 33rd place in Joplin, Mo.
- The men were sixth at the NE10 Championship, with juniorÂ
Carter Sylvester (Northwood, N.H.) earning Second-Team All-Conference with a 12th-place run. The team was also seventh at the NCAA East Regional Championship, as Sylvester posted a new personal best to finish 13th.
Women's Basketball (17-11, 15-7 NE10)
Notes:
- Women's basketball won 17 of its first 22 games, earning the No. 4 seed in the NE10 Championship, before falling at home to fifth-seeded Franklin Pierce in the quarterfinal round.
- SNHU claimed its third straight NCAA Championship berth, garnering the No. 5-seed. It met 30-1 Thomas Jefferson University and fell, 91-89, in overtime.
- Graduate student Adriana Timberlake (Braintree, Mass.) was crowned a Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Coaches' All-American. After earning Honorable Mention last season, she is the first two-time All-American in program history and the first to make the 10-member Coaches' team since 1990. Timberlake, who started all 28 games this season, tallying 18.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.8 steals per contest, while shooting 41.7 percent (183-439) from the field, 31.6 percent (54-171) from long range and 73.1 percent (95-130) at the stripe, was also a Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) East All-Region First Team selection, the NE10 Player of the Year and an NE10 All-Conference First Teamer for the second consecutive season.
- Senior Jess Knight (Hanover, Mass.) captured NE10 Second Team accolades and freshman Abby Wager (Mansfield, Mass.) received an All-Rookie Team nod.Â
Men's Basketball (24-11, 13-9 NE10)
Notes:
- Men's basketball put together its best season in nearly a decade, finishing with 24 wins for the first time since 2014-15. The Penmen finished a the fifth seed in the NE10, but captured their third NE10 title and first since 2016. SNHU kept it rolling, capturing its eighth NCAA regional crown and first since 2015 to reach the Elite Eight. That victory extended the Penmen win streak to 10 and gave them seven consecutive postseason wins for the first time in program history.
- SNHU, the seventh seed in Evansville, Ind., held a 17-point lead early in the second half, but second-seeded and top-ranked Nova Southeastern University chipped away and eventually secured a 68-60 victory in the NCAA Championship National Quarterfinals.
- Graduate student Matt Becht (Vienna, Va.) collected National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) East All-District First Team, Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) East All-Region First Team, NE10 All-Conference First Team, College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team and NE10 Academic All-Conference honors this season. He started all 35 games, netting 16.4 points on 43.7 percent (179-410) shooting from the field, including 44.8 percent (129-288) from behind the arc, and 89.7 percent (87-97) from the stripe. Becht, who was named the NCAA East Regional Championship and NE10 Championship Most Outstanding Player, led the nation in 3-pointers made and ranked eighth in 3-point field goal percentage.
- Junior Derrick Grant Jr. (Plainfield, N.J.) received an NE10 All-Defensive Team nod. He averaged 1.1 blocks per game, while posting career highs in scoring (10.4) and rebounding (6.0).
Men's Ice Hockey (14-14-2, 10-9-1 NE10)
Notes:
- SNHU ice hockey advanced to the Northeast-10 Championship game and suffered a heartbreaking, 3-2 loss in double-overtime at Assumption University.
- The Penmen finished third in the conference and recorded playoff wins over No. 6 seed Post University (4-1) in the first round and at second-seeded Saint Michael's College (5-1) in the semifinals.
- Sophomore Brendan Lynch (Nepean, Ontario) led the Penmen in scoring with eight goals and 18 assists for 26 points this season.Â
- Sophomore Kurt Watson (London, Ontario) finished as the team's top goal scorer with 13.
- Senior Matt Amante (West Hempstead, N.Y.) had 12 goals and 13 assists for 25 points.
- Freshman Collin Berke (Crofton, Md.) was named to the Northeast-10 All-Rookie Team. He played in 15 games for the Penmen, including starts in both playoff wins over Post and Saint Michael's. Berke made a school record 72 saves in the NE10 Championship game.
Men's Lacrosse (4-9, 3-6 NE10)
Notes:
- Men's lacrosse finished 4-9, including 3-6 in NE10 play to narrowly miss out on an NE10 Championship berth. The Penmen started the season 2-4, with all four losses coming by three goals or less and three coming by a single strike.
- Graduate students Ryan Auger (Hampstead, N.H.) and Gennaro Marra (Hampstead, N.H.) were both named to the NE10 All-Conference Second Team. Auger led the Penmen with 54 points on 26 goals and 28 assists.
- Senior Ronan DePaul (Elkton, Md.) earned Third Team honors. Freshmen Ryan Lynch (Derry, N.H.) and Luke Wiedemann (Cheshire, Conn.) received All-Rookie nods.
Women's Tennis (10-5, 7-1 NE10)
Notes:
- Women's tennis finished the season 10-5, including 7-1 in the NE10. The Penmen started the season 9-2, making it to the NE10 Championship title match where it fell top-seeded Adelphi University, 4-2.
- Sophomore Alina Kupfer (Baldham, Germany) was named the NE10 Vern Cox Player of the Year and also received NE10 All-Conference First Team honors at No. 1 singles, as well as Second Team accolades at No. 1 doubles with graduate student Verena Weindl (Munich, Germany). Freshman Nadia Alden (Edmond, Okla.) joined Kupfer on the First Team at No. 6 singles and was also chosen for the All-Rookie Team. Alden was also a Third Teamer at No. 3 doubles with junior Katelyn Nichols (Manchester, N.H.). Freshman Dajana Abadzic (Weinstadt, Germany) and senior Eleonora Guglielmetti (Novara, Italy) received a First Team selection at No. 2 doubles.
- Freshman Nadya Lyekontseva (Kyiv, Ukraine), who joined Alden on the All-Rookie Team, was a Second Team choice at No. 4 singles.
- In addition to her Second Team selection at No. 2 doubles, Weindl also landed a spot on the Third Team at No. 2 singles. Abadzic was also a Third Teamer at No. 2.Â
- Kupfer suffered a heartbreaking loss in the final of the ITA East Regional Championship singles bracket. Despite not winning the title, Kupfer earned a berth to the ITA Cup and advanced all the way to the semifinals before withdrawing.
