STANDOUT PERFORMERS
  • Krygier breezed by Charlotte Tvelia, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 4 singles to give the Penmen the win. She also helped SNHU earn the doubles point when she and sophomore Dajana Abadzic (Weinstadt, Germany) posted a 6-1 victory over Katja Milicevic and Maria Cedeno at the top flight.
  • Abadzic defeated Taisha Jones, 6-2, 6-2, at No. 2 singles.
  • Sophomore Justina Haver (Taipei, Taiwan) made quick work of Milicevic, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 1 singles. She also teamed with freshman Lois Tsui (Amsterdam, Netherlands) for a 6-2 triumph over Jones and Tvelia at No. 2 doubles.
  • Tsui was a 6-2, 6-1 winner at No. 3 singles against Cedeno.
NOTES
  • Sophomore Nadya Lyekontseva (Kyiv, Ukraine) and senior Katelyn Nichols (Manchester, N.H.) collected default wins at Nos. 5 and 6 singles, as well as No. 3 doubles, due to the fact the Yellow Jackets only had four players.
  • Southern New Hampshire is 5-0 for the second time in the last three years.
  • The Penmen improve to a perfect 23-0 all-time against AIC, including 13-0 at home.
WHAT'S NEXT
  • The Penmen return to action Sept. 29 (10 a.m.) at Adelphi University.
  • The next home match for SNHU is Wednesday, Oct. 2 when they play host to Bentley University at the Ouellette Stadium Tennis Courts.
