Graduate student Zuzanna Krygier (Poznan, Poland) clinched both the doubles point and the match to help lead the Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team to a 7-0 victory against American International College on Wednesday at the Ouellette Stadium Tennis Courts.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- Krygier breezed by Charlotte Tvelia, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 4 singles to give the Penmen the win. She also helped SNHU earn the doubles point when she and sophomore Dajana Abadzic (Weinstadt, Germany) posted a 6-1 victory over Katja Milicevic and Maria Cedeno at the top flight.
- Abadzic defeated Taisha Jones, 6-2, 6-2, at No. 2 singles.
- Sophomore Justina Haver (Taipei, Taiwan) made quick work of Milicevic, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 1 singles. She also teamed with freshman Lois Tsui (Amsterdam, Netherlands) for a 6-2 triumph over Jones and Tvelia at No. 2 doubles.
- Tsui was a 6-2, 6-1 winner at No. 3 singles against Cedeno.
NOTES
- Sophomore Nadya Lyekontseva (Kyiv, Ukraine) and senior Katelyn Nichols (Manchester, N.H.) collected default wins at Nos. 5 and 6 singles, as well as No. 3 doubles, due to the fact the Yellow Jackets only had four players.
- Southern New Hampshire is 5-0 for the second time in the last three years.
- The Penmen improve to a perfect 23-0 all-time against AIC, including 13-0 at home.

- The Penmen return to action Sept. 29 (10 a.m.) at Adelphi University.
