Graduate student Zuzanna Krygier (Poznan, Poland) won her singles match, but the Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team was handed a 6-1 defeat by Adelphi University on Sunday afternoon at the Point Set Racquet Club.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- Krygier topped Sara Lindeman at No. 4 singles, 6-3, 7-6 (10-8).
- Sophomore Justina Haver (Taipei, Taiwan) and freshman Lois Tsui (Amsterdam, Netherlands) doubled up Roisin Boyd and Caterina Federici, 6-3, at No. 2 doubles.
NOTES
- Haver dropped a three-set decision at the top singles flight to Katarina Liedbeck, 2-6, 6-0, 6-1.
- Tsui was also outlasted in three set by Boyd at No. 3 singles, 6-3, 5-7, 10-4.
- Southern New Hampshire matches its 5-1 start to the season from last year.
- Adelphi, which leads the all-time series, 12-11, defeats SNHU for the 11th time in the last 15 meetings, including the third straight.
