Nida Orloff (Leicester, Mass.) led the eighth ranked Southern New Hampshire University women's soccer team to a 2-1 conference victory over Assumption University. The Penmen took an early lead to force the Greyhounds to play on their heels.

KEY MOMENTS
- Anderson broke through a strong Assumption defensive effort late in the eighth minute, finding the back of the net off a feed across the box from right-to-left from junior Imogen Noon (Gold Coast, Australia).
- Orloff capitalized on a tight pass from Anderson that came from the right to the top of the box to double the Penmen lead in the 30th minute. With the ball a bit behind her, Orloff slowed her body, turned back to the right and swiftly tapped the ball past the goalkeeper with the heel of her of her right foot.
- With just over 13 minutes remaining in the game, Assumption's Haliegh Ward took advantage of a slowly bouncing ball to break through the tough Penmen defense to make it a one score game. The goal was assisted by Shannon Fitzsimmons' throw in.

- Junior Claudia Keith (Danvers, Mass.) had one save, while allowing one goal.
- Assumption's Frida Larsson made five saves and surrendered a pair of goals.
- Going into the match, SNHU was tied for seventh in the nation with 0.2 goals against per game. The last goal that Southern New Hampshire gave up was against Wilmington (Del.) University on Sept. 13. The Assumption goal snapped SNHU and Keith's scoreless streak at 313:35.
- Assumption led the NE10 in shots per game approaching this contest, averaging 19.8 shots per game. The Greyhounds were held to just three total shot attempts.
- The Penmen outshot the Greyhounds, 21-3. SNHU also led in corner kicks, 9-4.

- Southern New Hampshire, ranked No. 8 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Division II Top 25, extends its unbeaten streak to begin the season to six (4-0-2) and wins its first NE10 contest (1-0-1).
- Assumption takes their first loss of the season, falling to 5-1-2, including 0-1-1 within the NE10.
- SNHU leads the Greyhounds in the all-time series, sporting a record of 19-11-6. The Penmen, who are unbeaten in eight of their last nine matches (5-1-3) against Assumption, have also won three-in-a-row at home. The last time the Greyhounds left SNHU with a win was Nov. 2, 2018 (2-0).
- Anderson's goal is the second of the season and 16th of her career. It is also the second of the year for Orloff, who nets the sixth of her Penmen career.
