Collin Berke (Crofton, Md.) was brilliant making 34 saves, but SNHU Ice Hockey fell 4-1 to #12/14 Cortland on Wednesday afternoon at The Ice Den.

KEY MOMENTS
• Devlin picked up a loose puck in the Penmen zone, and sprinted alone to score an unassisted goal at 3:08 of the second period to put SNHU up 1-0.
• The Penmen would hold the lead for about 10 minutes before the Red Dragons tallied on a goal by Domenic Settimo. Settimo got a stick on the puck in a crowd in front of the Penmen cage to tie the game.
• Cortland won the contest with three unanswered goals in the third period. Sam Christiano made it 2-1 just 2:44 into the third period, Nate Boak scored at 10:50, and Nate Berke added a final tally with 1:21 to play.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Cortland had 40 shots on goal to 11 for the Penmen.
• SNHU finished 0-for-1 on the power-play and the Red Dragons were 1-for-6.
• Cortland had a 30-25 advantage on face-offs. The Penmen had an 18-8 edge on blocks, led by junior
Ryan Pomposelli (Needham, Mass.) with five.
NOTES
• This was the second meeting between SNHU and Cortland but the first since the Red Dragons won the Manchester PAL tournament over the Penmen in 2013-14.
• Cortland also defeated Saint Anselm 8-2 on Tuesday night. The Red Dragons, a Division III program, participated in the NCAA Division III Championship last season.
• Devlin has scored in consecutive games and his three goals this season match his total of 2023-24.

• SNHU will host Assumption University on Friday (7:40 p.m.) and Saturday (4:10 p.m.) at the Ice Den Arena. The Penmen (5-4-1) currently sit in fourth place in the Northeast-10 Conference halfway through the season. Defending champion Assumption (7-3) and Saint Anselm (6-3-1) are tied for first with 20 points, four points ahead of the Penmen.
