Southern New Hampshire University Ice Hockey opened the weekend with a 2-0 win over NE10-leading Assumption on Friday night. Sophomore goalie
Collin Berke (Crofton, Md.) recorded the shutout and sophomore
Bryan McLachlan (San Pedro, Calif.) tallied the game-winner, his first career goal.

KEY MOMENTS
- The teams battled through a scoreless first period with the Greyhounds hold a 12-7 edge on shots on goal.
- SNHU took a 1-0 lead at 17:26 of the second period with a man advantage. McLachlan scored the goal on a slap shot after receiving a pass from behind the night by sophomore Anthony Marchant (Norwood, Mass.). Sophomore Coleman Nee (Arlington, Mass.) also earned an assist on the play.
- Assumption sophomore net minder Callum Welch kept the Penmen off the board through a three-minute power-play after a major penalty late in the game.
- The Penmen would hold the 1-0 lead until the final seconds when Murray converted with the empty net. Senior Connor Ball (Webster, N.Y.) earned the assist on the goal.

- Berke recorded his fourth shutout of the season and third in NE10 play.
- Welch made 31 saves for the Greyhounds.
- SNHU went 1-for-3 on the power-play and Assumption was 0-for-4.
