KEY MOMENTS
- Southern New Hampshire trailed by a pair a little more than two-and-a-half minutes into the contest when a 16-3 burst – with five points from Daniels and four from Greene – staked the Penmen to a 19-8 advantage with 4:42 remaining in the first half. SNHU would carry a 23-11 lead into the second half.
- The Penmen opened the second half with a 10-4 run – powered by 3-pointers from Daniels, junior Royce Williams (Manchester, N.H.) and senior Noah Harris (Manalapan, N.J.) – to seize their largest lead of the contest at 33-15 a little more than five minutes in. Pace responded in a big way, however, ripping off a 19-4 run to slash its deficit to 37-34 with 10:32 to play. The Setters held the Penmen without a field goal for more than three-and-a-half minutes at one point during the stretch.
- Five points from Daniels, and four each from Grant and senior Jhamyl Fricas (Lawrence, Mass.), crafted a 13-4 barrage that ran the SNHU lead back to double digits at 50-38 with 6:38 to go. Pace answered again with an 11-2 run that made it a one-possession game at 52-49 with 4:12 on the clock. The Penmen led, 64-57, with 6.4 seconds left, but a pair of technical-foul free throws and a triple for Pace made it a two-point game with 0.7 ticks left. A foul on the ensuing inbound play with 0.2 on the clock effectively ended it.
