Dull Delivers OT Heroics to Lift Penmen to 4-3 Win at AIC

Freshman nets fourth goal of season in golden-goal finish

Freshman Kim Dull (Wilnis, Netherlands) scored the golden goal 5:18 into overtime, lifting the Southern New Hampshire University field hockey team to a thrilling 4-3 Northeast 10 victory over American International College on Saturday afternoon at Abdow Field.

KEY MOMENT

Dull buried her fourth goal of the season off a feed from Amelia Crocombe (Somerset, England) at 65:18 to complete the comeback and give the Penmen their second overtime win of the year.

NOTES·

  • Dull's overtime strike was her fourth goal of the season and second game-winner.
  • Zoe Demers (Manchester, N.H.) scored her fifth goal of the season to pull SNHU within one in the second quarter, assisted by Addi Roy (Ashburnham, Mass.).
  • Abby Forbes (Boscawen, N.H.) notched her second goal in as many games to tie the contest at 2-2 early in the third.
  • Natalie Paradzick (Hooksett, N.H.) gave SNHU its first lead in the fourth quarter, converting off a setup from Jade Hendriks (Huissen, Netherlands).
  • After AIC forced overtime with a late equalizer, Dull's heroics sealed the victory.
  • Amelia Crocombe finished with two assists on the day, while Forbes and Hendriks each added one.
  • Freshman goalkeeper Agustina Miranda Waigand (Miami, Fla.) made nine saves to pick up her eighth win of the season.
  • SNHU outshot AIC 21-19, including a 14-12 edge in shots on goal, while the Yellow Jackets held a 15-7 advantage in penalty corners.
  • The Penmen win a sixth consecutive contest with AIC, and second in overtime this season.  SNHU leads the all-time series 9-4.
