Collin Berke (Crofton, Md.) made 30 saves, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's ice hockey team skated to a 1-1 overtime tie with Saint Anselm College on Friday night in Northeast 10 Conference action at The Ice Den.
KEY MOMENT
Watson opened the scoring 4:56 into the second period, finishing a setup from freshman Gavin Simon (Monticello, Minn.) to give the Penmen a 1-0 lead. The Hawks answered just over six minutes later when Patrick DeMarinis tied it at 1-1. Neither side broke through the rest of the way despite several late chances, including a post hit by sophomore Ryan Kayser (Allentown, Pa.) during a power play in overtime.
NOTES
- Watson's tally was his second of the season.
- Simon earned his first collegiate assist on the goal.
- Berke finished with 30 saves, while Saint Anselm's Cam Carroll turned aside 33 shots.
