Dillon Labonte (Lee, N.H.) earned another trip to the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships, and after his final race, was presented with his second consecutive Elite Scholar Athlete Award on Saturday in Kenosha, Wisc.
NOTES
- Labonte finished 180th in the race at 10k at 32:29.7, improving his position 47 spots from last year's run in Sacramento, California.
- The Electrical Engineering and Math major has a 4.0 GPA.
- The recently rebranded Elite Scholar Athlete Award (previously know as the Elite 90 award), goes to the athlete with the highest grade point average at each NCAA Championship.
- Labonte had earned his way to the National Championship race by finishing fourth at the NCAA East Regional championship on November 8 at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds.

- Labonte had also earned the prestigious NE10 Elite 24 award for the top grade point average among athletes competing at the Conference Championship each of the past two seasons.
- 259 runners competed in the Men's 10k race with Wingate University earning the team national championship.
