The Southern New Hampshire University field hockey team saw its 2025 season come to an end Tuesday night with a 4-2 loss to Bentley University in the Northeast-10 Championship quarterfinals.

KEY MOMENT

With the score tied 2-2 early in the fourth quarter, Bentley's Gracie Moore put the Falcons ahead for good at 51:46, then assisted on a goal by Makenzie Dutch four minutes later to seal the win.

NOTES·

  • Junior Zoe Demers (Manchester, N.H.) opened the scoring at 4:41 of the first quarter, converting off an assist from freshman Kim Dull (Vilnis, Netherlands).
  • Junior Minke Van de Poll (Oosterbeek, Netherlands)  tied the game 2-2 in the fourth with her eighth of the season, set up by junior Amelia Crocombe (Somerset, England) off a penalty corner.
  • Freshman goalkeeper Agustina Miranda Waigand (Miami, Fla.) made three saves for the Penmen.
  • SNHU held a 13-12 edge in shots, while Bentley owned a 10-5 advantage in penalty corners.
  • Tuesday marked the second postseason meeting between the two programs. SNHU claimed the first, 2-1 in double overtime, in the 2019 NE10 Championship.
  • Bentley swept both matchups this season and leads the all-time series, 10-8.

UP NEXT

  • The Northeast 10 Championship will continue with semifinals matches on Friday.  #4 Bentley will play at #1 Assumption, and #3 Saint Anselm travels to #2 Adelphi.
  • The NE10 All-Conference Teams are scheduled to be announced on Thursday.
