The Southern New Hampshire University men's ice hockey team generated 34 shots and received a strong effort in net from junior goaltender Collin Berke (Crofton, Md.), but the Penmen were unable to break through offensively in a 2–0 Northeast 10 setback to Post University on Saturday afternoon at The Ice Den. The teams split the weekend set after SNHU won 3-1 on Friday night.
KEY MOMENT
After a scoreless first period in which the Penmen outshot the Eagles 15–10, Post broke through at 9:39 of the second to take a 1–0 lead. SNHU continued to pressure in the third and came close to leveling the score on several occasions before the Eagles converted again at 3:29.
NOTES
- Berke made 30 saves, including 11 in the third period.
- SNHU outshot Post 34–32 and killed all six Post power plays, but the Penmen could not covert on its three extra-man opportunities.
- Benjamin Cunneen stopped 34 shots; all three of his wins this season have been shutouts for Post.
- Post had dropped 10 of the last 11 to the Penmen, who lead the all-time series 23-7. It was the first shutout by the Eagles in the series history, dating back to 2016.
- The Penmen saw a streak of 63 games scoring at least one goal come to an end. SNHU had last been blanked by Franklin Pierce on 11/28/23 (5-0).

- The Penmen will meet Roger Williams University on Wednesday (12/10) at 7:00 p.m. The game will be played at the Driscoll Arena in Fall River, Mass. It will be first meeting between the programs since 1980.
