KEY MOMENTS
- Southern New Hampshire fell behind, 8-2, over the opening four minutes and would trail, 10-4, after one.
- Adelphi increased its lead to an even 10 less than three minutes into the second quarter before a 13-3 run – powered by six from Gordon – pulled SNHU even at 19-19 with 1:30 remaining. Adelphi would score the final five over the last 45 seconds to bring a 24-19 advantage into the break.
- Five quick points – sparked by a 3-pointer from freshman Taylor Brennan (Southbury, Conn.) – tied the game at 24-all just 1:13 into the second half, but a 12-2 blitz from Adelphi put it back in front, 36-26, with 3:09 left in the third. The Panthers would end the stanza with a 9-2 push that gave them their largest lead of the contest at 47-32.
- The Penmen began the fourth with eight straight points, as part of a 12-2 rush – with five from Davis and four from DeVries – to trim its deficit to 49-44 with 5:38 on the clock. They were within six with under two minutes to go, but Adelphi went 4-for-6 from the line down the stretch to help seal it.

NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire has dropped three straight and falls to ninth in the NE10 standings, which would send them on the road for the NE10 Championship first round Feb. 28. A win in the regular-season finale Tuesday against Bentley University would bump SNHU up to eighth, while an Assumption University loss, coupled with the victory, would make the Penmen seventh – both of which would give them a home game in the first round.
- Adelphi takes an 11-9 lead in the all-time series with SNHU and wins its second straight following a 66-65 double-overtime victory at home back on Jan. 11. The teams have split the last 10 meetings, though the Penmen have won four of the last six. SNHU had captured three of four at home against Adelphi prior to the loss.
- Gordon's double-double is her sixth of the season and 15th of her career, while Davis' is her second of the season and her career.
- SNHU drops to 71-40 (.640) since the 2021-22 season started, including 35-18 (.660) at the Field House.
- Davis and practice player Cove Boucher were honored in a Senior Day ceremony prior to the game.
WHAT'S NEXT
- The Penmen close out the regular season Tuesday, Feb. 25 (5:30 p.m.) when they travel to battle Bentley University.
