Freshman
Ryan Kayser (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) scored the game-tying goal with less than three minutes to play and added two assists as SNHU and Franklin Pierce played to a 5-5 tie on Saturday night. SNHU Ice Hockey has clinched a home game in the playoffs and can earn a bye with a win next weekend.

KEY MOMENTS
- Franklin Pierce opened the scoring on a goal by Cooper Anderson at 1:17 of the first period.
- The Penmen drew even at 8:05 of the first period on a goal by sophomore Austin Hirschberger (Harwich, Mass.). His fourth goal of the season came off a perfect cross-ice pass from freshman Dillon Phillips (Raleigh, N.C.). Senior Jackson Aldrich (Waterville, Maine) also earned an assist on the play.
- Sam Mitchell put the Ravens up 2-1 at 9:50 of the first period, and Franklin Pierce would lead for about 20 minutes of game time.
- The goal which tied the game at 2-2 came on the power-play with Lynch scoring on a slap shot off a feed from Kayser. Watson also was credited with an assist on the play.
- Franklin Pierce responded with goals by Josh Tisdel and Brendan Spinale to move ahead 4-2.
- It took the Penmen just 26 seconds after Spinale's goal to get to 4-3 when Watson scored off Pomposelli's pass. Lynch also assisted for SNHU.
- SNHU tied the game at 4-4 at 2:47 of the third. Pomposelli scored with the assist to Kayser.
- Franklin Pierce took a 5-4 lead at 16:24 of the third, but Kayser was able to tie the game at 17:04, scoring off his takeaway near center ice and sending the puck into the net.
- Each team had four shots in the 3-on-3 overtime with neither team scoring.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Penmen had a 45-40 shot advantage over the Ravens.
- SNHU went 1-for-2 on the power-play and Franklin Pierce was 0-5.
- SNHU never led in the contest, rallying to tie three times.
- The teams played a shootout with the only scored by SNHU's Phillips. Berke was a perfect 5-for-5 stopping Franklin Pierce in the shootout.
NOTES
- The Penmen finish 3-0-1 against Franklin Pierce in 2024-25 and lead the all-time series 41-18-8.
- SNHU's first line tallied six goals on the weekend with Lynch, Watson, and Pomposelli each scoring a goal both Friday and Saturday.
- The Penmen finish the weekend two points ahead of Saint Michael's for second place in the Northeast-10 standings. One win next weekend will clinch second and earn a bye to the Championship semifinals. The Penmen have clinched at least one home game in the post-season.
