KEY MOMENTS
- The first three field goals of the game for the Penmen were three-pointers by Williams (19:45), Fricas (18:50), and Henderson (17:23), but Assumption would go on a 14-0 run before a layup by freshman Dante Green (Dix Hills, N.Y.).
- Assumption would build the lead to 30-16 before Fricas hit a three-pointer and then a jumper to close the gap.
- A rebound and lay-in by Lenny Tangishaka and a three-pointer by Njavan Stewart put Assumption up 49-25, the largest lead they would have in the first half.
- The Greyhounds, leading 54-32 at the half, shot 19-for-30 (63.3%) in the first half including 6-of-11 from three. 10-13 from the line, and no turnovers.
- The Penmen shot 11-31 (35.5%) in the first half, including 6-15 from three.
- SNHU opened the second half on a 7-4 run before the first media timeout. Williams hit a three-pointer to make it 58-39 with 15:06 to play.
- While the Penmen played the Greyhounds almost even through the remainder of the game, they were unable to get any closer than 18 points in the second half.

- Senior Derrick Grant Jr. (Pisacataway, N.J.) scored three points, senior Jordan Brathwaite (Silver Spring, Md.), senior Noah Harris (Manalapan, N.J.), Green, and senior Kyle Rocker (Lawrence, Mass.) also scored two points.
- Assumption shot 29-for-61 (47.5%) for the game compared to 23-for-67 (34.3%) for the Penmen.
- SNHU went 9-for-29 (31.0%) from three-point range while the Greyhounds were 8-for-24 (33.3%).
- The Greyhounds hit 26-of-33 (78.8%) from the line and the Penmen were 11-for-14 (78.6%).
- Assumption scored more second chance points (16-8) and submitted a more impressive assist-to-turnover ratio (10/9-9/13). The Greyhounds captured the glass (45-34) and the paint (38-22), scored more points on the fast break (22-6) and received more scoring from their bench (40-9). Points off turnovers went to Assumption (14-11).
- Greene was held in check, scoring his first field goal of the contest with 21.3 seconds left in the first half. He fouled out with 6:33 to play in the contest.

NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire had won eight consecutive games heading into the NCAA tournament including a second consecutive Northeast-10 Championship.
- The Penmen, the defending East Region champion, made its third consecutive appearance in the NCAA tournament. They are 31-23 (.574) all-time in the NCAA tournament.
- Assumption scored 54 points in the first half against a team that allowed only 70.3 points per game during the 21-9 campaign. The 92 points allowed today were the most by the Penmen since a 94-79 loss at Bentley on November 28, 2021.
- SNHU leads the all-time series with Assumption 40-18. The Penmen won both regular season meetings with the Greyhounds in 2024-25 and had won five of the last six.
- This was the third meeting between the schools in the NCAA tournament. SNHU won in the New England Regional in 1991-92 (89-87), and Assumption won the meeting in the East Regional in 2012-13 (73-65).
- The Penmen competed in the East Regional at Daemen University in Amherst, N.Y. for the first time. The Wildcats are the #1 seed, entering as the only undefeated team in the nation and ranked #1 in the NABC (Coaches' poll).
