Aiden Blouin (Barre, Vt.) scored his third goal of the game with 2:22 remaining to give Southern New Hampshire Men's Lacrosse a 9-8 win over #18/RV Saint Michael's College on Saturday at Ouellette Stadium.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Purple Knights started strong, taking a 4-0 lead after the first quarter which included a pair of goals by Sebastian Simonson.
- Blouin scored the first goal for the Penmen with 9:41 left in the second period off a pass from sophomore Patrick Roy (No. Andover, Mass.) to make it 4-1.
- Brown cut the lead to 4-2 with a score from Gallo with 6:44 to go in the half and the two connected again at 3:14 to make it 4-3.
- Simonson scored his third of the game with :34 left in the half and the Purple Knights led 5-3 at the intermission.
- A pair of goals by Dwyer of Southern New Hampshire and by Murphy for Saint Michael's in the third quarter made it 7-5.
- Blouin's second of the game cut it to 7-6 off a pass from Gallo with 3:48 to play in the third quarter.
- Saint Michael's picked up a goal from the team's leading scorer, Cristian Reyes, at 13:53 of the fourth to open a two-goal lead again.
- Goals by Dwyer and Brown (his third) finally brought the Penmen to even with 9:56 to play.
- Blouin put the Penmen in front 9-8 with a strike off a pass from sophomore Kyle Beckett (Monroe, Conn.) with 2:22 to play.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Saint Michael's had a 43-38 shot advantage and a 39-23 ground ball advantage.
- The Purple Knights were 16-of-22 on clear attempts while SNHU was 21-for-24.
- Saint Michael's win 17 of the 21 face-offs.
- The Purple Knights (1-for-2) had the only man-up goal of the contest, SNHU was 0-for-2.
NOTES
- Saint Michael's leads the all-time series with the Penmen 28-15, although SNHU has won four of the last five. This was the third consecutive one-goal game between the NE10 rivals.
- For the second straight week, the Purple Knights were 18th in the Inside Lacrosse national rankings and received votes toward the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) poll.
- Sophomore Matt Roy (North Andover, Mass.) made his second consecutive start in goal for the Penmen, earning his first win.
- Dwyer's hat trick was his second of the season and third of his career. Hat tricks by Blouin and Brown were the first of their careers.
