Nater Wachter (Concord, N.H.) added three hits on the day. The Penmen fell 8-2 in the opener.

HOW IT HAPPENED - GAME 1
- The Penmen took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Colon doubled down the left field line to start the game and scoring on a single by Risedorf.
- AIC drew even on a single by Nick Serce in the bottom of the frame.
- The Yellow Jackets opened the lead to 3-1 before the Penmen scored in the top of the fifth. Burgos and Wachter singled and a sacrifice fly by Marshall scored the run.
- AIC used a four-run seventh inning to pull away with the big hit a three-run homer by Serce.
- Tim Krol earned the win, allowing five hits and two runs in his seven innings. He struck out 10.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE - GAME 1
- Lendrum suffered his first loss despite a quality start. Sophomore Devin Divita (New Hartford, Conn.), senior Noah Wachter (Concord, N.H.) and junior Connor Jensen (Shelton, Conn.) also pitched in the game.
- The Penmen were limited to just five hits.
- Burgos reached safely three times with a single and two walks.
HOW IT HAPPENED - GAME 2
- The Penmen jumped out to an early 6-0 lead and carried that to the 13-4 win.
- Wachter got the Penmen started with an RBI double in the first inning.
- Risedorf and Valera each drove in a pair of runs with doubles in the third and Colon had the RBI single in the fourth.
- The Penmen scored two more runs in the fifth inning for an 8-1 lead. Risedorf had an RBI triple and junior Chris Leone (Newton, N.J.) had a sacrifice fly.
- The Yellow Jackets got to Risedorf for three runs in the fifth, but Varney was able to get the final nine outs.
- SNHU scored the game's final five runs over the last two innings.
- Giallongo doubled in the sixth and scored, and tripled in two runs in the seventh.
- Burgos followed with a single to score Giallongo.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE - GAME 2
- The Penmen scored 13 runs on 13 hits with Risedorf earning the win and Varney the save, his third.
- SNHU stole six bases in the game, matching a season-high.
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire is receiving votes this week in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II Top 25 and ranks 21st in the D2 Baseball Top 25 Rankings.
- The Penmen lead the all-time series with AIC 38-10. The teams also split a doubleheader at Penmen Field last April 14.
- SNHU has outscored its opponents 137-68 this season.
- The Penmen have been hit by a pitch in all but one game this season, with Marshall hit nine times.
- Wachter's average sits at .394 (28-for-71) with four homers and is tied with Marshall for the team lead with 21 RBIs. His .522 OBP leads the team.
- SNHU leads the Northeast-10 with a 3.09 team ERA.
