Jake Risedorf (Barkhamstead, Conn.) hit back-to-back homers as Southern New Hampshire baseball won 7-4 at Saint Anselm College in a Northeast-10 Conference game on Wednesday at Sullivan Park.

KEY MOMENTS
- Marshall gave the Penmen their first three runs with a home run to center field in the top of the third inning, bringing home Wachter and Burgos after a pair of walks.
- The next at bat, Risedorf hit a home run of his own to center field, making it a 4-0 ball game in the top of the third inning.
- The Hawks mounted a come back in the bottom of the fourth inning with two RBI singles and an RBI double. This knotted the game at four runs a piece.
- The score was stagnant until the top of the eighth inning, when a sacrifice fly from Risedorf gave the Penmen a one-run lead.
- Scoring continued for SNHU with a 2 RBI single from the bat of Valera. This gave the Penmen a three-run lead.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Marshall hit his team-leading fourth home run of the season, tied with Wachter. Marshall also collected his team-high 24th RBI of the year.
- Risedorf hit his third home run of the season.
- Colon collected his seventh and eight stolen bases of the season, while Wachter collected his fifth steal to remain perfect on the base paths.
- Cam Varney got his first win of the year, taking over for Brassill in the bottom of the sixth. He allowed only one base-runner in 3.1 scoreless innings.
NOTES
- The Penmen dropped out of the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association's (NCBWA) Division II Top 25 rankings last week, and are receiving votes for the ranking.
- SNHU remains third in the East Region, behind #18 Thomas Jefferson and #24 Bentley.
- The Penmen are 2nd in the Northeast Division of the NE10 with a 2-1 conference record. Saint Anselm is 0-3 in the conference.
- Southern New Hampshire improves to a 71-34 record against Saint Anselm and have won the last nine. The next meeting between these two rivals will be next Wednesday (April 2nd) at 3:00pm at Penmen Field.
UP NEXT
- SNHU will head to Worcester to play a four-game series against the Assumption Greyhounds March 28th – March 30th. The first game of the series will begin at 3:30pm on Friday the 28th.
- SNHU will return home April 2nd to play Saint Anselm in the third game of the season series against the Hawks. This will mark the beginning of a ten game home stand for the Penmen.
