Men's Tennis Drops Match to Boston College

Penmen Fall 7-0 In Final Tune-Up Before Key Northeast-10 Matches

Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis dropped its match with Boston College Tuesday 7-0.  It was the final tune-up before key Northeast-10 matches for the Penmen.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
  • Senior Cade Nadeau (Quispamsis, New Brunswick) had a competitive match at No. 1 singles, falling 7-5, 6-2 to Caleb Saltz
  • Saltz and Liam O'Leary defeated Nadeau and sophomore Jaden Williams (Green Acres, Fla.) at No. 1 doubles 6-4.
NOTES
  • Williams competed at No. 2 singles, falling to Mai Gao.
  • The Eagles won at No. 3 singles with Jake Vassel defeating sophomore Albert Modol (Lleida, Spain).  
  • Junior Phillipp Roeder (Aystetten, Germany) fell to Aidan Pack at No. 4 singles.
  • The Eagles also won at No. 5 and No. 6.  Freshman Marcos Castaneda (Madrid, Spain) played at No. 5 and sophomore Carlos Molero (Barcelona, Spain) was at No. 6 Tuesday.
  • Southern New Hampshire has dropped its last five matches.
  • Boston College, a Div. I program that competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference, has won all eight meetings with SNHU dating back to 2014.
WHAT'S NEXT
  • The Penmen are back in action Saturday, March 29 (1 p.m.) when they play host to Assumption University at the Ouellette Stadium Tennis Courts.
