SNHU picks up NE10 win in Rindge Saturday

Freshman Sabrina Redding (Forked River, N.J.) and sophomore Mazie Burt (Waterford, Vt.) led the offense with a combined 11 goals while graduate student Katelyn Hadden (Newburyport, Mass.) controlled the midfield. Strong defensive play and possession control helped Southern New Hampshire Women's Lacrosse team secure a 14-9 win against Frankin Pierce at Sodexo Field on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Redding scored the game's first goal just over a minute into play.
  • Hadden controlled the draw circle, leading to multiple offensive possessions.
  • Burt found the net twice, giving the Penmen a solid 3-1 lead by the end of the quarter.
  • The Ravens were held to just 3 shots, with freshman Corrina Moulton (Barre, V.T.) making an early save.
  • In the second quarter, Redding recorded 2 more goals, including a highlight-reel dodge pass Frankin Pierce defenders.
  • McLaughlin netted back-to-back goals, pushing the lead to 7-3.
  • The Ravens scored twice late in the quarter, cutting the deficit to 7-5 at halftime.
  • Despite multiple shots, the Penmen only managed two goals in the third quarter.
