Senior Rachel McLaughlin (Woburn, Mass.) scored a career-high six goals and graduate student Katelyn Hadden (Newburyport, Mass.) matched her career best with 10 points for the second straight game to lead the Southern New Hampshire University women's lacrosse team to a 21-5 win against Felician University on Tuesday afternoon at Mark A. Ouellette Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Southern New Hampshire struck just 16 seconds into the game with a Hadden goal, while McLaughlin followed up just 20 seconds later. After Anderson scored at the 13:39 mark, Felician found the scoreboard for the first time with 12:09 left in the first quarter to pull within 3-1. SNHU scored the next five goals – a stretch powered by a goal and two assists from Hadden – to exit the opening stanza with an 8-1 advantage.
  • Two goals and an assist from Hadden, two goals from McLaughlin, and a goal and assist from Anderson carried a 6-2 second quarter that sent the Penmen to the break with a 14-3 lead.
  • The teams alternated goals for the entire third quarter, with Hadden bookending the frame with goals to make it 16-5.
  • Two goals from McLaughlin highlighted a five-goal fourth quarter that pushed the final margin to 16.

  • Sophomore goalkeeper Nicole Mirra (Cicero, N.Y.) stopped six of the 10 shots she faced over the opening 36:45, while graduate student Abby Cole (Liverpool, N.Y.) made one save on two shots over the next 13:24. Freshman Corrina Moulton (Barre, Vt.) played the final 9:51 and did not see a shot.
  • Felician 'keeper Jessica Naoum made 12 saves.
  • Graduate student Skylar Pietz (Dudley, Mass.) and senior Brooke Deily (Doylestown, Pa.) each scored a goal.
