Jordyn Resetar (Hanover, Pa.) homered to rally the Penmen into the lead, and Southern New Hampshire softball won 6-5 over Bentley University to earn a split of Wednesday's Northeast-10 doubleheader. The Falcons won the opener 8-2.

GAME 1: Bentley 8, SNHU 2
- SNHU started the scoring with a run in the top of the first inning. Feldman, DeMoura, and Donovan put together three singles for a 1-0 lead.
- The Falcons would two runs in the first, and four in the third inning to take a 6-1 lead.
- The other SNHU run crossed in the top of the sixth inning as Resetar doubled home freshman Alyssa Abbott (Hudson, N.H.), who had singled.
- Senior Amelia Freitas (Plymouth, Mass.) pitched a complete game in the circle for the Penmen, falling to 6-4 with the loss. She did strike out six without issuing a walk.
- Bentley's Riley Piromalli improved to 5-7 with the win.
- Jordan Krause hit a two-run homer for the Falcons.
GAME 2: SNHU 6, Bentley 5
- Resetar hit a two-run homer for SNHU in the top of the fourth inning to rally the Penmen into a 5-4 lead to lead to the doubleheader split.
- Donovan singled in the first as senior Mackenzie Bruggeman (Trumbull, Conn.) and Feldman scored for a 2-0 lead.
- After Bentley scratched a run in the first, Resetar singled in the top of the second to make it 3-1.
- The Falcons rallied into a 4-3 lead with three runs in the bottom of the second inning.
- In the top of the fourth, Abbott walked and Resetar homered.
- The Penmen added a run in the fifth that started with Donovan reaching on an error, Lineman singled and both runners advanced on another error. A groundout by sophomore Mikaya Alto (Chelmsford, Mass.) produced a run that gave SNHU a 6-4 lead.
- Bentley did pick up a run in the bottom of the seventh with an RBI double by Maddie Baker, but Colbert notched the final two outs for the win.
NOTES
- Colbert improves to 5-4 on the season.
- Resetar moves into the top spot on the team with a .364 average and her 17 extra-base hits lead the Penmen (12 doubles, 1 triple, and four homers).
- Bentley leads the all-time series 47-44, but the Penmen snapped a seven-game losing streak to the Falcons with the win in the second game.
- The teams have also scheduled a non-conference doubleheader at the SNHU Softball Field on April 15 (3:00 p.m.)
- After completing the first 24 games of the season away from home, the Penmen will play 14 of the next 18 games at the SNHU Softball Field.
