NOTES
- Modol, who was slated to play at No. 3 singles, was injured during doubles play and left the match, forcing everyone behind him to move up a flight.
- Southern New Hampshire had already clinched one of the four NE10 postseason spots and it now waits on Sunday's Adelphi University-Assumption University match to find out its seed for the upcoming NE10 Championship. An Adelphi win will solidify SNHU as the No. 3 seed and would set up a semifinal match with No. 2 Franklin Pierce University. An Assumption win would knock the Penmen back to the No. 4 seed and they would then play top-seeded Adelphi in the semis. Adelphi is hosting the entire NE10 Championship on May 3-4.
- SNHU still leads the all-time series with Saint Michael's, 20-6, but sees its winning streak against the Purple Knights snapped at 19, as the Penmen lose to Saint Michael's for the first time since Apri 8, 2009 (5-4). SNHU had also won seven-in-a-row on the road in the series, with SMC defeating the Penmen on its home court for the first time since Sept. 30, 2007 (6-3).
WHAT'S NEXT
- The Penmen will head to Adelphi for NE10 Championship Weekend on May 3-4. SNHU will play a semifinal match Saturday, May 3 against either Franklin Pierce or Adelphi.
