Baseball Places Four on CSC Academic All-District Team

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Senior Jancarlos Colon (Santa Isabel, P.R.), sophomore Devin Divita (New Hartford, Conn.), junior Parker Lendrum (Exeter, N.H.) and senior Frankie DeMaro (Newburgh, N.Y.) of the Southern New Hampshire University baseball team were all named to the Academic All-District Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, on Tuesday.

Colon, who was an NE10 All-Conference Second Team and NE10 All-Defensive Team shortstop, is a general studies major with a concentration in business administration and owns a 3.77 grade-point average (GPA). Colon, who drew all 48 starts, hit a team-best .341 (70-205) with one home run, 24 RBI and 52 runs scored, while going 19-for-23 stealing bases. Colon made only four errors in 231 chances at short for a .983 fielding percentage. Colon ranked led the league in assists (154), while ranking third in hits and steals, and fourth in runs and fielding double plays (31).

Divita, who earned the relief pitcher spot on the NE10 Third Team, owns a 3.53 GPA as a business administration major. Divita went 6-1 with a 4.01 earned-run average (ERA) in 17 appearances, including one start. The April 21 NE10 Pitcher of the Week gave up 40 hits over 42-and-two-thirds innings, while punching out 48 and walking 14. He tied for fourth in the league in wins.

Lendrum, who collected NE10 All-Defensive Team honors in the lone pitcher spot for the second straight season, also earns CSC Academic All-District accolades for a second consecutive year. Lendrum finished 5-2 with a 4.32 ERA in 10 starts, holding opponents to a .239 average in 58-and-a-third innings. Lendrum had a perfect fielding percentage in 11 total chances, which included a successful pickoff. He ranked sixth in the NE10 in wins, as well as eighth in both ERA and opposing batting average. Lendrum is a mechanical engineering major with a 3.96 GPA.

DeMaro, a mechanical engineering major with a 3.68 GPA, receives the honor for the second year in a row. In 10 appearances, including five starts, DeMaro went 3-1 with a 2.36 ERA and a pair of complete games. He was also 18-for-86 (.209) at the plate with a home run, 12 RBI and 12 runs scored.

The Penmen finished 32-16, including 18-7 in NE10 play, as they earned the No. 3 seed in the Northeast Division, advancing to the NE10 final.

Academic All-District honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Colon, Divita and DeMaro were selected as CSC Academic All-America finalists and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 1, 2025.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
