Sophomore Samantha Pfeil (Methuen, Mass.) scored a game-high 14 points as the Southern New Hampshire University women's basketball team won its fifth straight game, holding off Assumption University, 56-51, on Wednesday night at the Stan Spirou Field House.

KEY MOMENTS
  • The teams traded the lead throughout a low-scoring first half, with Assumption taking a slim 27-26 advantage into the break.
  • SNHU took control in the third quarter by limiting the Greyhounds to just five points, while using an 8-0 run midway through the frame to open up a six-point lead.
  • Assumption closed within three in the final minute, but the Penmen went 3-for-4 from the free-throw line over the final 21 seconds to seal the victory.
