SNHU Ice Hockey erased a one-goal deficit with two third-period goals to earn a 3-2 victory over Saint Anselm College on Friday afternoon in Northeast 10 action at Sullivan Arena.

KEY MOMENT

Trailing 2-1 late in the second period, SNHU scored twice in the opening nine minutes of the third period, including the game-winning goal from sophomore defenseman Nic Dallaire (Waltham, Mass.) to complete the comeback and secure the Northeast 10 win.

NOTES
  • SNHU opened the scoring just 29 seconds into the game when junior Stone Devlin (W. Falmouth, Mass.) finished a play set up by sophomore Adam Boucher (Uniontown, Pa.) and freshman Jory Veenstra (Kansas City, Mo.).
  • Saint Anselm tied the game midway through the second period on a power-play goal, then took a 2-1 lead with a goal in the final second of the frame.
  • Devlin evened the score at 4:08 of the third period, scoring his second goal of the game off an assist from sophomore Kyle Slingerland (Stittsville, Ontario).
  • Dallaire put SNHU ahead for good at 9:02 of the third period, blasting a slap shot just inside the blue line for his first goal of the season. Senior Brendan Lynch (Nepean, Ontario) and Slingerland assisted on the play.
  • Devlin recorded his second multi-goal game of the season, while Slingerland finished with two assists.
  • Junior Collin Berke (Crofton, Md.) earned the win in goal, stopping 27 shots.
  • SNHU and Saint Anselm each finished with 29 shots on goal, while the Hawks went 1-for-5 on the power play and the Penmen were 0-for-1.
  • With the win, SNHU evened the season series at 1-1-1 with Saturday's finale to decide Queen City Cup points.
  • Saint Anselm leads the all-time series 47-14-4.  The Penmen won for only the second time in the last 13 meetings with the Hawks.
