Southern New Hampshire University fell to Post University, 5-1, on Saturday afternoon at the Sports Center of Connecticut.

KEY MOMENT

Post scored twice in the opening 10 minutes and added an early second-period goal to build a three-goal advantage before the Penmen could settle in.

NOTES
  • Post opened the scoring at 6:39 of the first period and doubled its lead at 9:51.
  • The Eagles extended the margin to 3-0 just 46 seconds into the second period.
  • Freshman Zach Vickerman (Queensville, Ontario) put the Penmen on the board at 2:26 of the second period, finishing a play set up by junior Anthony Marchant (Norwood, Mass.) and sophomore Ryan Kayser (Highlands Ranch, Colo.).
  • Vickerman scored both of SNHU's goals in the weekend series giving him seven for the season.
  • Post added a fourth goal at 4:48 of the third period and sealed the win with a shorthanded empty-net tally at 17:23.
  • Junior Collin Berke (Crofton, Md.) made 38 saves in net for SNHU.
  • The Penmen finished with a 39-43 edge in shots and went 0-for-3 on the power play, while Post was also 0-for-3 with the man advantage.
  • The Eagles won the season series with the Penmen 3-1, but SNHU leads the all-time series with Post 23-9.
