Redshirt-freshman Piper Knowlton (Chester, N.H.) netted a team-high four goals to lead the Southern New Hampshire University women's lacrosse team to a 13-9 victory over Saint Michael's College in its Northeast 10 opener Wednesday afternoon at Ouellette Stadium.
KEY MOMENT
- After Saint Michael's trimmed the deficit to 4-3 in the second quarter, Southern New Hampshire responded with five consecutive goals to seize control of the contest. The Penmen carried the momentum into halftime and maintained the lead the rest of the way, never allowing the Purple Knights to draw even again.

- Knowlton paced the Penmen with four goals and leads the team with 18 goals and seven assists (25 points).
- Senior Brynn Goulet (Tyngsboro, Mass.) totaled three points on two goals and one assist.
- Redshirt-sophomore Mazie Burt (Waterford, Vt.) recorded a goal and two assists, to go with a pair of ground balls.
- Freshman Ella Lampron (Plaistow, N.H.) added two goals and a team-high five draw controls.

- Saint Michael's senior Sophie Lynch reached the 100-point mark for her career at the 5:45 mark of the third quarter and finished with four goals in the contest.

- SNHU opened Northeast 10 play with a victory for the first time since defeating Southern Connecticut State on March 15, 2014.
