Freshman Tim Lucia (Wolfeboro, N.H.) won his first career singles match, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team captured a 6-1 victory against St. John Fisher University on Monday at the United States Tennis Association National Campus in Orlando.

KEY MOMENT
  • With the match in hand, Lucia downed Marshall Harrishburg, 6-3, 7-6 (7-3) at No. 5 singles.
  • Junior Carlos Molero (Barcelona, Spain) and freshman Aurel Creveuil (Nanterre, France) clinched the doubles point at No. 2 with a 6-1 triumph over Finn Whitaker and Harrishburg.
NOTES
  • Southern New Hampshire has won five of its last seven.
  • Sophomore Marcos Castaneda (Madrid, Spain) defeated Tyler Hernandez, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 1 singles and is now 8-1 on the year.
  • This was the first meeting between the two teams.
