Seven Penmen Collect NE10 Winter Academic All-Conference Accolades

NO. ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Southern New Hampshire University had seven of its student-athletes recognized with NE10 Academic All-Conference honors for the 2025-26 winter season Tuesday.

Sophomore Ryan Kayser (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) and senior Brendan Lynch (Nepean, Ont.) took up two of the 11 men's ice hockey spot. Kayser, a business administration with a 3.85 grade-point average (GPA), recorded 15 points from the blue line, totaling five goals and 10 assists. He landed a spot on the NE10 All-Conference Second Team.

Lynch joined Kayser on the NE10 Second Team after leading the team in scoring for the third straight season. He scored eight goals and dished a team-high 15 assists for 23 points. Lynch led the league in face-off wins (358), while ranking eighth in assists per game (0.56), ninth in points per game (0.85) and 10th in both points and assists. An Academic All-Conference selection in 2024, Lynch is a business administration major with a 3.77 GPA.

Senior Meghan Gordon (Attleboro, Mass.) was one of 11 from women's basketball to receive the honor. An NE10 All-Conference Second Team pick, Gordon started all 27 games this season, posting 14.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.0 block and just shy of 1.0 steal per contest, while shooting 48 percent (160-333) from the floor and 80.3 percent (53-66) at the stripe. Gordon scored in double figures in 21 games and reached 20 points four times, while collecting 10 or more rebounds on seven occasions and recording six double-doubles. The two-time NE10 Player of the Week (Jan. 5, Jan. 26) led the league in field goals made, while ranking second in field goal percentage, third in blocked shots, fifth in rebounding, and sixth in scoring. An Academic All-Conference pick a year ago, Gordon is a biology major with a 3.94 GPA.

Women's indoor track & field saw four of the 23 slots go to the Penmen. Senior Hope Sinclair (Hampton, N.H.), a justice studies major with a 3.69 GPA, was an NE10 Champion in the 60 meters with a PR time of 7.65. She also earned a podium spot at NE10s with a third-place showing in the 200 (25.32). Her 7.71 in the 60m at New Englands a couple weeks later placed her sixth and narrowly missed the pace of her record sprint. Sinclair put up a personal best in the 55 meters at the USM Husky Invitational, winning the event with a 7.31. Her other PR came in the 300 (42.85) at the BU Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener. Sinclair was an NE10 Academic All-Conference performer during the outdoor season a year ago.

Sophomore Erika Wojcik (No. Andover, Mass.) captured an NE10 Championship in the 800 (2:15.18), while finishing fifth as part of the 4x800 (10:07.97). Wojcik, a biology major with a 3.66 GPA, established a new personal best in the 800 prelims at the NEICAAA Championship with a time of 2:14.80, before going on to place fourth in the final (2:14.93). Wojcik posted PRs in the 500m (1:25.02) at the Dartmouth December Invite, mile (5:15.79) at the USM Open II, 1000 (3:03.13) at the Suffolk Ice Breaker and 600 (1:40.92) at the Gordon Kelly Invite.

Sophomore Hannah Sippel (Chester, N.H.), a biology major with 3.80 GPA, was second in the 400 (57.39) at NE10s, in addition to being part of the third-place 4x400-meter relay team that posted a time of 4:01.17. Sippel PR'd at Boston University in the 300 (41.96), in the 500 (1:20.04) at the Dartmouth December Invite and in the 600 (1:41.71) at the Gordon Kelly Invite.

Junior Kay Wheelock (Milford, Mass.) was part of the third place 4x400 relay team with Sippel at the NE10s. She also posted personal bests in the 60m (8.87) at the Plymouth Winter Classic, 500 (1:26.01) at the Dartmouth December Invite, 600 (1:42.57) at the USM Husky Invitational, 400 (1:00.60) at the Riverhawk Invitational and 200 (27.55) at the Crimson Open. She is a construction management major with a 3.93 GPA.

To be eligible for selection to NE10 Academic All-Conference teams, a student-athlete must have met or exceeded the following minimum requirements:

  • Named to sport All-Conference team (First, Second, Third or Defensive). 
  • Must have spent at least two consecutive full-time semesters at the institution (not including the last semester completed)
  • Must have minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 (for both undergrad and grad)
