Sophomore goalkeeper Corrina Moulton (Barre, Vt.) – two days after making a season-high 13 saves in a win – stopped 12 shots, but the Southern New Hampshire University women's lacrosse team suffered a 12-4 defeat against Thomas Jefferson University on Monday afternoon at Ouellette Stadium.
KEY MOMENT
- Southern New Hampshire found itself trailing 4-2 at the end of the opening quarter and Jefferson stepped on the gas, increasing its halftime lead to 7-2, before nudging the advantage to 10-4 after three. The Rams scored the final two goals of the contest in the fourth quarter.
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire has its two-game winning streak halted.
- Moulton, who was just named the NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week earlier Monday, now has 25 saves in her last two games.
- Senior Brynn Goulet (Tyngsboro, Mass.) tallied a goal and an assist.
- Sophomore Sabrina Redding (Forked River, N.J.), redshirt-freshman Piper Knowlton (Chester, N.H.) and junior Camdyn Swain (Falmouth, Mass.) also scored for the Penmen.
- SNHU entered the day a perfect 2-0 all-time against Jefferson, winning on the road last season and at home March 7, 2009.
- Jefferson won 13 of the game's 19 draw controls and also outshot SNHU, 33-25.
