NO. ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Freshman
Aurel Creveuil (Nanterre, France) of the Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team earned NE10 Player of the Week honors for the period ending April 12, the league office announced Tuesday.
Creveuil, who also captured the award on March 3 and March 17, was 2-2 during a 2-0 week for SNHU, including 1-1 at No. 2 singles. After losing a three-set affair at the College of the Holy Cross, Creveuil bounced back for a 6-1, 7-6 (7-1) win over Viktor Boban in Saturday's 6-1 victory against Saint Michael's College. Creveuil also combined with
Carlos Molero at No. 2 doubles to take down Holy Cross' Matt Carlson and Teddy Callery (6-4), and blank SMC's Jamie MacPherson and Simon Lundholm (6-0).
Creveuil is 4-4 this season in singles action, including 1-0 in NE10 play. He is also 7-2 in doubles, winning his only league match.
Creveuil and the Penmen (8-8) are scheduled to return to action Saturday, April 18 (2 p.m.) at Franklin Pierce University.
