Senior Sierra Kimball (Amherst, N.H.) registered a career-best five points on a goal and four assists, as the Southern New Hampshire University women's lacrosse team rolled to a 21-5 victory over American International College on Wednesday at Ouellette Stadium.

KEY MOMENTS
  • With the score tied, 1-1, less than a minute in, Southern New Hampshire scored 10 straight – with three coming from senior Brynn Goulet (Tyngsboro, Mass.), and two each by freshman Abby Bouffard (Biddeford, Maine) and redshirt-freshman Piper Knowlton (Chester, N.H.) – to exit the first quarter with an 11-1 advantage. Kimball assisted on three of the tallies.
  • Knowlton tallied a goal and an assist, as SNHU scored the first four of the second quarter and went to halftime with a 15-2 advantage.
  • The Penmen led, 17-3, after three, while Kimball buried the first goal of her career as one of four Penmen strikes in the fourth.

  • Southern New Hampshire snapped a three-game skid with the season-high 21 goals.
  • Knowlton recorded six points on three goals and three assists.

  • Junior Camdyn Swain (Falmouth, Mass.) and redshirt-sophomore Mazie Burt (Waterford, Vt.) both tallied two goals and an assist.
  • In addition to Kimball registering the first points of her career, freshmen Sammy Cloutier (Wrentham, Mass.) and Payton Trepaney (Merrimack, N.H.) also notched their first career goals.
  • Junior Nicole Mirra (Cicero, N.Y.) stopped five of the 10 shots she faced.
  • SNHU leads the all-time series with AIC, 19-3. The Penmen have captured 18 of the last 19 meetings, including seven straight. SNHU has also won 10-in-a-row at home versus the Yellow Jackets. The last AIC victory in the series was April 22, 2017 (16-15), while the most recent Yellow Jacket win at SNHU was in the inaugural Penmen women's lacrosse season March 23, 2004 (14-2).
  • SNHU outshot AIC, 38-13, including 30-8 in shots on target.
  • The Penmen dominated draw controls, 24-3.
