SNHU doubled up the Panthers in the opener, 4-2.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
  • After Adelphi took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, Southern New Hampshire went in front, 2-1, in the home half of the second on a two-run single to left by graduate student Marc Cisco (Long Island City, N.Y.).
  • Senior Jake Pisano (Hamden, Conn.) doubled home a run in the fifth and then came around to score on a wild pitch to widen the gap to 4-1.
  • The Panthers would get one back in the seventh, but senior Parker Lendrum (Exeter, N.H.) would leave the tying run at the plate to end the game.
  • Lendrum (5-1) tossed his third straight complete game, allowing two runs on seven hits over seven innings, striking out four, while not walking a batter.
  • Cisco (walk, two RBI, run), Pisano (double, RBI) and redshirt-junior Brody Keneston (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) were all 1-for-3.
  • Junior Joel Valera (Boston, Mass.) went 1-for-1 with a pair of walks, double and a run scored.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
  • Adelphi jumped out to a 3-0 lead over the first two innings, before junior Casey Cumiskey (Milltown, N.J.) went deep in the third to put SNHU on the board at 3-1.
  • A two-run sixth extended the Panthers' lead to 5-1.
  • The Penmen began their comeback in the seventh, with a two-run single down the right field line by graduate student Shane McNamara (Londonderry, N.H.) slicing the deficit in half at 5-3.
  • Senior Dakota Britt (Rockwall, Texas) made it 5-4 with a run-scoring single in the eighth.
  • In the ninth, walks to lead off the inning by Valera and junior River Hart (Nashua, N.H.), followed by a perfect bunt single to third from senior Kyle Lavigne (Bedford, N.H.), loaded the bases, setting up Bozek to win it two batters later with his two-run single down the left field line.
  • Bozek (walk, double, two RBI, run) and Britt (RBI, run) were both 2-for-5.
  • Keneston finished 2-for-4.
  • Cumiskey (home run, RBI, run) and McNamara (two RB) both went 1-for-5.
